January 14, Kathmandu. The Right Honourable Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has instructed Nepal Ausadhi Limited, the government entity entrusted with pharmaceutical production, to commence the production of 20 types of pharmaceuticals immediately.
Summoning the chairman and other office bearers of the Limited to his office at Singhadurbar today, the Right Honourable Prime Minister directed them to proceed with renewed impetus.
While acknowledging Nepal Ausadhi Limited’s past achievements and efforts in pharmaceutical production, and noting the current deadlocks, the Right Honourable Prime Minister assured them of the necessary government cooperation in producing new additional pharmaceuticals. He emphasized that the pharmaceutical production sector is crucial for achieving self-reliance and urged an immediate start to the production of 20 types of pharmaceuticals. Commending Nepal Ausadhi Limited’s efforts, he stressed the need to enhance both the quality and quantity of pharmaceutical production in the future.
On that occasion, Mr. Yagya Neupane, Chairman of Nepal Aushadhi Limited, stated that the company is currently producing 10 types of pharmaceuticals and is preparing to immediately start the production of an additional 20 types.
